PROSODY MEETINGS regularly take place in NYC, on a roughly bi-monthly basis ( holidays and pandemics aside.) The meetings are a continuation of a 3-month prosody course that was taught in spring of 2018 at St. Mark's Poetry Project under the title Prosody, Privatization, Performance and Peace. The course established a dialogue and sense of urgency that many of us wanted to continue. The meetings are usually guided by topical prosodic concerns — among us and in relation to events at large — serving as support for our respective practices and as grounds for any action we might envision collectively. The meetings often include some vocal,
breathing, somatic or meditative aspect, as prosody and embodiment are of course congruent. The meetings are open, informal and free. Anyone interested in taking part can contact me directly at email@example.com.
